Memories of Mom: A Loving Journey in Her Honor

25

This video was made to pay tribute to my mother, Charlotte Patricia Gray, who many of you know is the lady in the THANKS TOBACCO: YOU KILLED MY MOM video. It’s been over a year since her passing and the video we filmed has no doubt saved hundreds of lives and I couldn’t be more proud of what we did. The video is being watched close to 500 times a day and is up over 130000+ views as of yesterday. It’s in the hands of health teachers at schools, workers at American Lung Association Clinics, and being utilized by so many professionals as a teaching aid across the Country. It has become projects for students, inspiration to quit and to help others quit smoking and also to prepare some of the people that are about to go through this personally. It has been a comment forum to share our hearts and souls as there are too many of us out there that lost a loved one like this. Though my emotions are always a roller-coaster having to tend to the daily comments of the video, I am so glad we got this out there in the world to make a difference. It was her deepest wish to help save lives. It has helped me come to terms with the emotions and have closure knowing her death was not in vain. She made a difference in my life beyond measure and I appreciate her more everyday that I am alive…I can only imagine how she will be looked upon by the countless people that she helps with the video. Your gratitude is already clearly evident to a point where I am overwhelmed by the comments that I in

@sxymelissannt
Great news on your recent quit!
Thank you for the kind comments and defense of my mom on my other Thanks Tobacco video.
I need to head over to that video and approve comments.
I used to let them be automatic but it got too crazy with the idiots.
You definitely gave that idiot a good earful. :)
Thanks again!

@TheAnnafisher
Thanks for the comment. I am so proud of my mom.
Hard to believe it’s already been 4 years since I last saw her.
I will remember this day as the day she escaped her suffering.

RIP today on the anniversary of her passing, give thanks for your loving memories and to keep others from smoking after your mom’s AND grandmother’s early deaths caused by smoking cigarettes. ONE LOVE

Thanks for the wishes.
My mom had so much love and patience it makes me humble.
I am just trying to do her justice and honor her life with a purpose.

What a beautiful woman. God bless her. What a lovely video, seriously tugged at my heartstrings and I want to say, what a blessing she must have been to you, family and friends. I know its not much, but all my wishes and good luck goes towards you and to other people who may be smoking. R.I.P. Shes an inspiration and so are you.

@sonicbondage Thanks. I’ve been missing her alot more than usual lately. So, I think it’s time to make some new scrapbook layouts. :) xoxo

sonicbondage @ 6:08 pm #

@kelaltieri
Awesome!
I hope you make something nice with your Mom with video and photos.

kelaltieri @ 6:46 pm #

@sonicbondage I already have video footage of my brothers wedding with her in it. :) It’s the only video I have of her. I like to put together scrapbook pages with her photos – it’s a good way to remember her too. :)

sonicbondage @ 7:15 pm #

@kelaltieri
Thanks!
You definitely should make a video of the wedding footage of your mom.
Just like my Mom, I only had one tiny bit of video of her before her troubles started.
That’s why it’s mostly a slide show. Doing stuff like this will cause some tears, but I know that only reflects back to me the intensity of our love.
I hope you can do that for yourself as well on behalf of our mom’s.

sonicbondage @ 8:11 pm #

@TxLady1us
Awesome to hear of your news!
I’m really appreciative of my Mom. It’s about time I showed it. :)
Glad I can show our love and make others benefit from the message.

kelaltieri @ 8:20 pm #

What a beautiful way to pay homage to such a great mom. You made an adorable family unit. <3 Your mom would have loved this. I wish I had something like to pay tribute to my mom. We have lots of photos, but watching a video of her would have a different effect. To see her healthy, happy and well would have been nice. I do have a video from my brothers wedding that has lots of footage of her though. :) Thank you so much for sharing. I bet you make your mom very proud. xoxo

sonicbondage @ 9:01 pm #

@TxLady1us
Thanks for the wonderfully heartfelt comments.
The video seems to work for good caring people.
I care for you all. It makes me happy that we are helping.
You can’t put anything in front of that feeling.
Thanks Tobacco is also my most popular video so I know a documentary that can save lives will always beat any video I ever make as a musician.
It kind of stinks that I’m not more popular with my music. lol
