This rant does kind of make a point…kind of. If you’re going to initiate a health argument with someone you should make sure you are healthy yourself, just for the sake of not pissing the person off even more, since you’re already going to do it by bringing up a subject they don’t want to hear.

OMG! That happened to me! I AM FAT. And one day, this really hot guy was smoking and i said to him “You know, I work for (comercail conglomerate company X) and i’ve sceen ppl, just like you, ruin their good looks over time by smoking…and i went on and on…and he listend paitently. Then at the end he told me how his mom had been beautiful, then she gaiend a 1000 pounds and died of a heart attack. I HAVE NEVER BITCHED AT ANYONE FOR SMOKING SINCE.

@dannylerch I weigh 170. I’m in good health. My mother quit smoking a few months back because she has COPD stage 4, small cell lung cancer, and really doesn’t have much more time to live.
I feel sorry that you’re too blinded by an addiction to see that you’re hurting others, and may God, gods, or whatever you may or may not believe help you through your times of struggles.

Obesity isn’t the leading cause of death. It’s heart disease. Then cancer. I don’t think it’s okay to severely fuck up the body you “worked so hard for.” Why would you work hard for something just to fuck it up? And you can tell this ranter isn’t just an occasional I’m feeling stressed out smoker. Not that that is okay. Deal with your problems another way, cause that temporary fix is going to fuck you up. Although, I do think the guy should have minded his own god damn business.

@ProjectRANT Really, this entire argument is a parallel to the straw man fallacy. The woman is just personally attacking a man who is actually being affected by her smoking, as apposed to the mans obesity which affects none but himself.

i work at a pharmacy we sell a lot of cigs. When customers tell me what kind of cigs they want i’m clueless about how it taste r the name etc.. so i say sorry i don’t smoke i don’t know about cigs that much they’ll be like you shouldn’t it’s bad.
